A short meditation on our tendency as artists to cannibalize our own best work.
Wayfinding
I write about finding your own way in life.
Today, there's always someone out there telling you where to go, how to get there, and what it'll be like when you do. There's a map for every mission.
But life isn't a mission. It's not a task to be completed, an objective to be reached. It's an adventure. And it's your own. Don't let someone else make a mission out of your own adventure.
Anyone can follow a map. But few dare to be the map-makers of their own lives.
I want to inspire you to have the courage to go your own way. Because without it, you won't miss the opportunity of your life. You'll miss that opportunity that is your life.
And I don't want you to miss it.
All the rest,
— David Kennedy
